A Note from
Jamie Baker, Program Director
Dear Being Alive Family,
2020 has been full of changes, and I wish I could say they have been positive. However, we are strong and resilient, and the changes ahead are being forged with the commitment to serve our clients and community.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to shape our procedures with the sole goal to keep everyone safe as we return to in-person services. But we will get through it together. Throughout our organization's rich 34-year history, we have faced many uphill battles, and we have triumphed in the face of adversity.
I believe the winds of positive change have begun to blow.
As we work to return to full service, things will look different for a while. There will be diminished appointments for acupuncture, chiropractic will move to an appointment system, and mental health will continue primarily through telehealth. Support groups and the ceramics studio will have their own adjustment, too. Staff will be available for in-person appointments, but masks will be required, and we will have to stay at least 6 feet apart. We hope this will be temporary! Advances toward treatment and a vaccine are moving forward.
We look forward to seeing you and being together in community very soon. Until then, stay well, be safe, and make healthy choices.
To paraphrase an Old Irish Blessing, may the positive winds of change be at your backs, and the sun shine warm upon your (masked) face.
Until we meet again soon,
Your Being Alive Family
