Being Alive is best known for our individualized emotional support for HIV and AIDS patients. Whether you are recently diagnosed, or a long term survivor dealing with everyday challenges, we have trained peer support counselors who are living with HIV and AIDS.

In addition to peer-to-peer, we offer comprehensive information and referrals to a variety of local services, including primary medical care, housing, substance abuse treatment, mental health and other kinds of referrals.

Being Alive’s emotional support groups for HIV and AIDS are facilitated by trained group leaders who are also living with HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to provide a safe and confidential space where individuals can express themselves in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement. Being Alive hosts many interactive educational groups, so depending on who you are and what you are looking for, there is most likely a group we offer to meet your needs.
