Building Brotherhood
Being Alive proudly presents a unique psycho-social HIV group therapy experience for gay, bisexual, queer and trans-identified HIV+ men.
Building Brotherhood is a unique, affirmative exploration of the authentic self. We gather weekly with the sole purpose of giving voice to our lived experiences, while offering witness to those that have experienced similar discrimination, trauma, successes and victories. Utilizing an engaging blend of LGBTQ-affirmative HIV group therapy techniques that include sharing circles, psycho-education, process discussions, gay history and mythology, documentary film, and hands-on activities, we aim to build lasting connections and affirm the fact we are not alone.
Even in our darkest moments, we are never alone…and sometimes, that is all we need to know.
WHO: FREE to ALL gay, bisexual, trans and queer-identified men living with HIV/AIDS, who are looking to foster lasting friendships with other men in a safe and supportive space.
WHEN: Beginning Tuesday, April 21st and Running for 8-consecutive weeks; 6:00 – 8:30 PM (As this is a group about building community and brotherhood, you must commit to all 8 sessions.)
